Life History
His Holiness studied both Hadees and Fiqh
from famous masters like Moulana Kamaluddin. Zahid, Moulana
Shamsuddin Shamsul Mulk, Moulana Aminuddin Mohaddis. Hazrat
Shamsul Mulk was amongst His Holiness earliest and most learned
teachers. His Holiness completed Hadees and "Mashraqul Anwar"
from Hazrat Moulana Kamaluddin Zahid (R.A). Hazrat Moulana
Allauddin Usuli (R.A) of Badayun and Hazrat Moulana Kamaluddin
Zahid (R.A) of Delhi are the most respected teachers of His
Holiness. They all taught him to have faith in Allah Tala
(God).
Poverty and starvation could not deter
His Holiness enthusiasm for learning. In days when they had
no food to eat, his mother Hazrat BiBi Zulekha (R.A) consoled
His Holiness by saying that "they are the guests of Allah
Tala (God)". This practice made to live lovefully in penury.
His Holiness was comfortable and contented in his spiritual
way. If food happened to be available for several days in
a row, the young boy would gently ask his mother, "when will
we again be the guests of Allah Tala (God)"? The other problem
they were facing was shelter. They never had any permanent
shelter in the capital, and stayed in different sarais. When
they came from Badayun, his mother and sister stayed in Namak
Sarai and His Holiness stayed in a small shelter made for
maid servant in front of the sarai. At this period, Hazrat
Amir Khusro (R.A) also resided in Delhi with his maternal
grand father Imadul Mulk, "Rawat Arz". Sometime later Rawat
Arz’s house fell vacant and on Hazrat Amir Khusro’s request
His Holiness shifted to this house and remained there for
two years. This was a spacious three storied building with
all grandeurs. In early days even Hazrat Amir Khurd’s grand
father stayed this house and use to held service of serving
IFTAR to His Holiness. But the exclusive service of arranging
water for nature calls and ablutions were carried by Hazrat
Amir Khurd’s father.
Untimely, His Holiness was compelled
to vacate the house as Rawat Arz’s sons had come back to Delhi.
His Holiness and Hazrat Amir Khurd’s father had to move with
his belongings. That night they stayed in a thatched roof
mosque. Listening to this a devotee affectionately brought
them to his house where they stayed for nearly a month. Later
His Holiness shifted to other places intermittently. Hazrat
Amir Khusro (R.A) at the time of this incident was out of
Delhi. On knowing he apologised and bowed before His Holiness
for pardon and mercy. Amir Khusro requested His Holiness to
stay in his house. Rejecting his request, His Holiness (who
was staying in Jamat Khana), said:
"Oh, Khursro, now I have come in the most
safest shelter of the Savior, where nobody can pull me out
from it!"
Rawat Arz states, the night when His Holiness
was compelled to leave the house, a fire broke out unknowingly
and the whole colossal structure of this grand building was
burnt to ashes.
At times the uncertain housing problem
made His Holiness disturbed. One night His Holiness prayed
with heavy heart to Allah Tala (God):
"Oh, my Allah, my Protector, provide me a
permanent and a congenial shelter in your world".
Alas! His Holiness with his mother and sister
proceeded to Ghiyaspur (presently known as Hazrat Nizamuddin).
At times, BiBi Zulekha (the Holy mother of
His Holiness), use to say, while looking at his feet,
"Nizam, casting in you the best and glory,
you will be in the time a great honourable and blessed one."
His Holiness use to reply,
"Oh, mother till now nothing greeted me,
how long would it be."
The consoled Holy mother said,
"Never my son be pessimistic about
it.
The time will come but I may not be there!"
